Turning Point manages four group homes,
one in Taylorsville, NC:  Alexander Group Home
one in Hudson, NC:  Burgess Group Home
one in Lenoir, NC:  McNairy Group Home
& one in Marion, NC:  Turning Point Group Home

     Turning Point Services manages four group homes, classified as group homes for developmentally disabled adults.  These small group homes are designed to provide training and support six adults, in each home, who are developmentally disabled and who have or can develop self-help skills, are ambulatory, in need of a home and are able to participate in activities in the community.  We work diligently with consumers and their support systems to design training to meet individual needs, and often seek to link people to work experiences and other activities that lead to full participation in the community.

    Turning Point Residential Services generally operates as needed to meet consumer needs, and staff are available 24 hours up to 7 days weekly (except of the apartment programs).  Turning Point Services manages four group homes, classified as group homes for developmentally disabled adults.  (Two apartment living programs are also available to support folks who have the desire, and the demonstrated skills, to live independently in a safe environment with peer and paid support to assist.) 

    These small group homes are designed to provide training and support six adults, (in each home) who are developmentally disabled and who have or can develop self-help skills, are ambulatory, in need of a home and are able to participate in activities in the community.  Residents shall have the advantage of a homelike atmosphere with the opportunity to progress to full citizenship through the process of normalization.
   
    The Turning Point group homes are licensed by the Division of Facility Services.  Turning Point Services assures, with the assistance of relevant public agencies, that the residences managed by the agency maintain licensure.
   
    Each TPS residence is conveniently located in an active community.  Each resident shall have a room of adequate size, and with safe exits.  Residents are encouraged to personalize bedrooms with individual style.
