Burke Opportunities, in the town of Morganton, within Burke County and the rolling foothills of the South Mountains of Western NC, is a licensed Adult Developmental Vocational Program by the Division of Facility Services and as of February 1, 2006, is operated by Turning Point Services, Inc.  With a staff to consumer ratio of 10 to 1, the program generally operates with consumers on site from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm five days a week.  This program provides services such as, vocational training, remunerative employment, personal and community living skill development, adult basic education, and long-term support and follow-up.

Burke Opportunities tries to provide transportation services to all consumers enrolled in the program.  Transportation is provided with three (15) passenger vans and one passenger lift equipped van.  Consumer must be 16 years old and be diagnosed with a developmental disability.
