Alexander Opportunities


  


Alexander Opportunities, in the town of Taylorsville, within Alexander County and the foothills of the Brushy Mountains of Western NC, is a licensed Adult Developmental Vocational Program by the Division of Facility Services.  With a staff to consumer ratio of 10 to 1, the program generally operates with consumers on site from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm five days a week.  This program provides services such as, vocational training, remunerative employment, personal and community living skill development, adult basic education, and long-term support and follow-up.

Alexander Opportunities tries to provide transportation services to all consumers enrolled in the program.  Transportation is provided with three (15) passenger vans and one passenger lift equipped van.  Consumer must be 16 years old and be diagnosed with a developmental disability.
