Turning Point operates one Adult Day Activity Program,
located in Morganton, NC:  The Mountain Activity Center.

     The Division of Facility Services licenses our Day Activity Programs and we serve people with Mental Retardation, other developmental disabilities and people who are dually diagnosed. 
   
    Participation in a Turning Point Services day activity program gives services designed to support an individual’s personal independence and promote social, physical and emotional well-being through activities such as:
                Social Skills development,
                Leisure activities,
                Training in daily living skills,
                Improvement of health status, and
                Utilizations of community resources.
   
    A qualified or Associate Professional in Developmental Disabilities will have responsibility for a client’s treatment plan.  At least one staff member who is trained in first aid, CPR, Heimlich maneuver, and seizure management will be on site at all times that clients are present.
   
    Day Programs operated by TPS will typically be open from 9am to 3pm for services.  Staff may be available for drop-off or pick-up of clients between 8-9am and 3-4pm.
